Choosing a school is a huge decision, and we want to support you every step of the way to ensure you find the perfect fit for your family.

 

Reception Admissions (Starting School)

If your child is due to start Reception, we would love to welcome you to our school. We pride ourselves on our community feel, which is why we host a series of school tours designed to give you a genuine insight into daily life at Royal Park.

  • When: Tours begin in September and run through until January.

  • The Experience: We keep our tour groups intentionally small. This ensures you feel comfortable asking questions and can get a true feel for our amazing school and nurturing environment.

  • How to Book: Spaces fill up very quickly! Please contact the school office directly to reserve your place on a tour.

 

How to Apply: Bexley Local Authority Timelines

Applications for Reception places must be made through the London Borough of Bexley. Even if you have a sibling already at the school, you must still apply formally through the Local Authority (LA).

Key Dates for your Diary:

Milestone Date
Applications Open 1 September
Closing Date for Applications 15 January
National Offer Day 16 April (or next working day)
Deadline to Accept/Decline Late April

Top Tip: Missing the January deadline can significantly reduce your chances of securing a place at your preferred school, so please ensure your application is submitted to Bexley LA on time.

 

In-Year Applications

If you are moving to the area or looking to change schools during the academic year, this is referred to as an In-Year Application.

  1. The Process: These applications are managed by the Bexley Admissions Team. You will need to complete an In-Year Primary Application Form via the Bexley Council website.

  2. Visit Us: We highly recommend coming to see us! Please contact the school office, and we would be more than willing to show you around and discuss how we can support your child's transition into our school family.
