Dates for Stay and Play sessions and documents that you will need to complete

To ensure the transition into Reception is as smooth and happy as possible, we have organised a series of events and information packs to help us get to know one another.

Your Induction Pack

Shortly, you will receive a pack of documents that must be completed before your child’s first day. These forms help us gather essential information about your child’s needs, interests, and background.

This pack will include:

Important Dates & Visits

Home Visits

Tuesday 2nd June – Friday 5th June We will be visiting you at home to meet your child in the setting where they feel most comfortable, relaxed, and secure. Meeting them in their own environment allows us to see what they love to play with, hear about their favourite things, and begin building a trusting bond before they ever step through the school gates. It’s a wonderful way for us to get to know your child’s unique personality and needs in a place where they feel like the expert!

Welcome Afternoon

Wednesday 10th June: While the children head to their new classrooms for some fun, parents will meet with the Senior Leadership Team to learn about daily life at Royal Park Primary.

  • Uniform: Casey’s Uniform will be on-site to assist with requirements.

  • Local Services: A representative from Bexley will be available to discuss the services and support they provide to families.

  • Catering: Our caterers, Caterlink, will be providing samples of our school menus for you to try.

Please bring a parent passport/photo ID and your child’s original birth certificate so we can verify documents while you enjoy the presentations.

Stay and Play

Wednesday 17th June This is a dedicated Stay and Play session just for the children. It is a fantastic opportunity for them to further familiarise themselves with their new surroundings and start making new friends.

We look forward to meeting you all very soon!
