Science week

What better way to welcome back our children back to school after lockdown than by celebrating science week? From the 8th to the 12th March, Royal Park took part in science investigations, workshops and games to celebrate this important week.

Science week assembly
Despite not being able to be in the hall together, Mr Bassett created a science week video showcasing a range of fun science experiments for us all to try. We watched it in our classrooms to get excited for science week.

Science experiments

Throughout the week, children took part in daily science experiments both in class and outdoors. These require very few resources; give them a go at home and let us know how you get on!

Silly science workshop

KS2 were very fortunate to take part in a Silly Science workshop, where they were introduced to key science topics in exciting and memorable ways.

Dinosaur fossil hunting
KS1 went back to the Jurrassic period as they became fossil hunters during a Dinosaur fossil workshop. The children used brushes to brush sand off of fossils and tried to work out which dinosaur the fossils belonged to.
